I love making connections with donors to help children heal from the terrible hurts of abuse. I love talking to people, sharing the passion as to why The Dickerson Children's Advocacy Center is so very important in the Midlands of South Carolina. We offer a wide array of services to help children have joyful smiling faces after the terrible event(s) of abuse. Healing a child gives them success in school, life, the ability to trust again, make friends and have good physical and emotional health. I really get excited when a possible donor sees the work and is totally amazed at what they are seeing. They see that indeed abuse is a societal problem but this problem can totally be turned around through the work of the Dickerson Children's Advocacy Center. When a donor connects, whether they give of their time, talents, financial gifts they are then an advocate for the children who needs us. At that time I really break into a great happy childlike dance
