Tom is an experienced and detail-oriented advisor with extensive experience in charities and not for profits. Tom works with charities, foundations and not for profits to assist them to fulfill their strategic goals. As an Advisor in Philanthropy he focuses on Major Gifts and Planned Giving programs with individuals and charities/social capital organizations. Tom has a long history of local and national volunteer leadership including: Katimavik Foundation; Cottage Dreams Recovery Initiative and the West End YMCA of Toronto. He is currently Chair of the Endowment Fund Investment Committee at Bloor Street United Church, serves on the Honorary Board of Directors of the Toronto Christian Resource Centre (CRC) and was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Dr. Charles H Best Foundation, which funds post-doctoral fellowship research and honours the memory of one of the discoverers of insulin. He is available for interim assignments typically during times of significant change in charities including management changes and major growth/new program development.
