Roxana Vega has more 17 years of professional experience working in human resources. She has her bachelor’s degree in management and obtained her PHR Certification (Professional in Human Resources) with HRCI in 2005. Additionally, she recently obtained her SHRM-CP Certification (Human Resources Certification) with SHRM in 2015. She has an active membership with SHRM, the Society for Human Resources Management Association and attends meetings with the local human resources chapter. Roxana has experience in multiple areas of human resources, including employee benefits; employee leave and accommodations; employee relations functions, such as employee investigations, performance appraisals, staff disputes, and providing guidance to staff and managers; policy development and compliance; staffing and recruiting management; and compensation planning and staff training. Roxana has worked with companies in various industries and states with a range of 75 to 3,000 employees. Twelve years of her human resources professional work experience is in the nonprofit sector. She has a comprehensive understanding of state and federal employment laws and has worked with legal counsel to ensure compliance.
