Writer/editor focusing on all things nonprofit and social enterprise. Youth media trainer. Storyteller through words and pictures.
I'm a UK-based writer and editor with ten years’ experience in the nonprofit/third sector, including stints with VSO, the British Council, Oxfam, the European Commission and the Belgian government. I help organisations to plan, produce and promote editorial content, and also have experience in partnerships, bid-writing and internal communications. As a freelance journalist, I seek out stories on youth, education, migration and social enterprise/action, particularly in developing and emerging countries. I've written regularly for international development specialists Devex, covering a range of topics from funding to program impact to HR, and have had articles and photographs published in the Guardian and Vice. I also work with young people and community groups to help them explore and use writing, photography and video. I currently lead and facilitate media projects for Exposure, a London-based youth charity.
