Aghaz-e-Nau (AeN) was established in July 1993 in order to combat the increasing problem that Pakistan is facing regarding drug abuse and issues related to drug abuse. AeN provides a comprehensive range of drug demand and harm reduction services to youth at risk in different community settings. AeN also works for human rights protection and for the rehabilitation and social reintegration of women. AeN’s programs are based on human rights protection of marginalized groups such as drug addicts; street addicts; youth; and women from remote areas. We help young students to realize and explore the underlying factors of drug abuse and marginalization and we help them overcome past traumatic experiences through individual and group counseling services.
