Humanitarian Organization for poverty Eradication in Malawi (HOPEM) is a non-profit organization incorporated in Malawi in December 2017; but it was founded in May 2010. The organization is registered under the Trustees Incorporation Act Cap. 5:03 of the laws of Malawi, certificate number TR/NC: 7559 and is at Kentam mall next to Taifa market, Mzuzu City, Malawi. Its mission is to improve living standards of poor people through addressing both health and environmental challenges. The organizations objectives include: to promote poverty alleviation through economic empowerment of women and the youth, girls-child education; improve health service delivery through capacity building, lobby, and advocacy so as they be able to demand the required services; to improve hygiene and sanitation; to promote sustainable management of the environment and Biomass Energy (renewable energy-including re-afforestation); Human rights awareness.
