In & through SATHI SAMUHA we fight for the health & human rights of children, adolescent & adult person who use/inject drugs & those living with HIV/AIDS as well as deliver HIV, viral Hepatitis & other disease prevention, treatment & care services to them, in Nepal. For example we run a Community Care Center that offers a free residential care, treatment support & extensive education for people living with HIV/AIDS. Similarly, we implement a CABA (Children infected & affected by HIV/AIDS) Program through which we provide a monthly cash support of NPR. 1000/- to each child living & affected by HIV/AIDS. On another side, we have a harm reduction program for people who inject drugs (PWIDs) implemented with an aim to prevent & reduce HIV & other blood-borne infections among PWIDs under which we run drop-in-centers (DICs), conduct regular outreach activities etc. across Kathmandu district. We also have been implementing a special program for street-children particularly for those who use drugs through our DICs and outreach activities. Under this street-children program we provide harm reduction services like needle/syringe program for children who inject drugs, run education & information sessions on HIV prevention, sanitation & various life-skills topic to empower them & to boost their self-confidence, we also provide nutritional support to them. Apart from these service we often organize health camps & street-drama for them.
