We provide trained adult facilitators to help youth navigate their shared experiences. Middle and high school years are a time of transition for everyone. We believe a holistic, strengths-based approach is needed to help families and youth navigate their teen years. The Body Love Yoga Project The Body Love Yoga Project is an afterschool program for middle and high school young women (grades 6-12) to build a healthy sense of self, community and belonging through yoga and art. Expressive arts, journaling, guided discussion, breathing exercises and meditation techniques are used to support this work and empower girls with tools they can use during everyday situations at school, with family members and with friends. Safe Space Yoga Safe Space Yoga gives adolescents an opportunity to explore yoga with specially trained yoga teachers. Our teachers work with youth who have histories of poverty, homelessness, trauma, addiction and behavioral challenges. Yoga has been found to be a valuable tool in the healing process. There is evidence that yoga helps with overall well-being, depression and anxiety.
