As we celebrate 111 years in service, we thank you for being a New Radical with us, by making history through courage, connection and change. Programs: Monthly Dialogues on Issues of Racism & Discrimination: Every last Friday of each month; 12:00-1:30pm, free & open to all community members. Training Institute: Year-round professional training workshops examining racial justice issues and women's economic empowerment from a social services perspective. Continuing Education Series (offering CEUs for LPC/LMSW/LCSW/LMFT), Personal Growth Series, Professional Development Series & Love and Sexuality Series. YW Counseling & Referral Center (YWCRC): Short-term mental health counseling for women, couples, and families Psycho-educational and/or skills building groups and workshops in the community Information and referral services Generation YW Program: Curriculum-based classes in public schools for middle/high-school girls & boys Tobacco prevention presentations for adults and youth throughout the community Alcohol/Drug prevention activities at community festivals and health fairs Bridge Child Care Subsidy Program: Assisting Austin families in crisis with affordable temporary child care Qualifying families must be referred by local social service agencies Eligibility is based on income status and crisis situation. Short-term subsidies (less than 12 months)
