Through ongoing programs in leadership development, science & technology, bullying-prevention, entrepreneurship & financial literacy, & community service, Girl Scouting provides girls with opportunities to try new things, cultivate healthy friendships, build skills & confidence, develop positive values, connect with their communities, & practice leadership skills. The Girl Scout mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, & character, who make the world a better place. Girls grow courageous & strong through enriching experiences, like field trips, camping, outreach programs, community service projects, cultural exchanges, & environmental stewardship. We help girls develop their full individual potential; relate to others with increasing understanding, skill, & respect; develop values to guide their actions & provide the foundation for sound decision making; & contribute to the improvement of society through their abilities, leadership skills, & cooperation with others. All girls deserve an even playing field with educational and enrichment opportunities that help them thrive throughout their youth and into adulthood. We are committed to providing Girl Scout programming to all interested girls to develop a positive sense of self & strong values, build healthy relationships, engage in sustainable community service opportunities, & prepare girls to find their personal pathways to adulthood & meet education obstacles & peer pressure head on.
