HOSPITAL AND PRISON WELFARE INITIATIVE (HPWI) CHARITY SHOP HPWI Charity Shop is part of after care for ex-offenders and deportees, where they are entitled to free monthly wears. This is to help reduce poverty, empower the poor, and create jobs for those who are willing and able to work. HPWI AIMS, OBJECTIVES AND VISION HPWI is a non-governmental humanitarian and welfare registered charity organisation in Nigeria. Our mission is reducing crime and poverty, helping the less privileged and the abandoned people in the community, for example the unemployed, deportees, low paid workers, pensioners, widows, widowers, orphans, homeless and disabled. We are working to ensure optimal offender mental and physical health, improving education and developing skills to reduce re-offending. Reduce congestion and spread of disease in our prisons through partnership with the government and Prison services. Our services also include the following: Advocacy Mentoring Training and Networking Hospital and Prison visits Rehabilitation and Welfare Promoting Talents and Interests Counselling victims and their families We operate in conjunction with our sister organization in the United Kingdom, Hospital & Prisons Action Network (HPAN), which is officially recognised by the Nigeria High, United Kingdom.
