Family Health Care Foundation (FAHCI) is a voluntary, non-governmental, non profit making organization that is committed to the total well being of people, but more especially Women, Children, Youth and people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS and OVCs in rural areas and among the urban poor. FAHCI since its inception in 2002 have had programmed in the following areas to achieve its purpose: A. Health Care, with the following as components: i. HIV and AIDS awareness ii. Voluntary Confidential Counseling and Testing (VCCT) and referral services iii. Water sanitation and hygiene iv. Nutrition v. Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) vi. Adolescent reproductive health B. Youth (leadership) development C. Economic empowerment D. Enlightenment/Education E. Conflict management The organization has a constitution that guides the operation of the organization. There are policy guidelines for practices and procedures within the organization. The organization has been registered both in the State and National level. FAHCI is in partnership with United Nation Population Fund (UNFPA), Partners for Development (PFD), World Bank HIV/AIDS Fund, Voluntary Service Oversea (VSO), and among others. FAHCI vision: An empowered society where people enjoy improved quality of life. Our mission is to improve the health and socio-economic well being of the poor and vulnerable communities through participatory training, advocacy and quality service delivery.
