UNITUS fund has been established on March 6, 2000 in Mykolayiv, Ukraine to address a growing problem of HIV, STI and TB infections. The Fund is an independent non-profit entity, and it has been working extensively with at-risk populations, including people who inject drugs and commercial sex workers and teenagers. These populations suffer from various social and economic impacts of living in areas of high HIV prevalence and are at increased risk of infection and discrimination. The goal of UNITUS is to provide access to healthcare, social services, and educational opportunities for vulnerable populations, and to decrease the spread of HIV. For ours new project we want to connect our teenagers with local youth-friendly clinic which can provide them with reproductive health services including HIV, STI testing, safe sex information, contraceptives distribution. In order for us to reach out as many teenagers as possible, we need to come up with creative and confidential way to direct them to the clinic. Our goal is to reach out to 30 000 teenagers in Nikolayev area through informational booklets that will be distributed in Nikolayev schools.
