Our Youth program promote healthy behaviours during adolescence and youth, and taking steps to better protect young people from health risks that are critical for the prevention of health problems at present, in adulthood, and for country's future health and ability to develop and thrive. Early pregnancy and childbirth are among the leading causes of death for 15– 19-year-old girls in sub-Saharan Africa as a result of complications from pregnancy and childbirth and HIV/AIDS where more than 2 million adolescents are living with HIV. Alcohol or tobacco use, lack of physical activity, unprotected sex and/or exposure to violence can jeopardize not only teens' current health, but also their health as adults, and even the health of their future children. We run a life skills program in Kenya for teens 10-19 year old (age discriminated, disabled, living with HIV or poor) and mentorship on comprehensive sexuality education, education campaigns in Kenya to enable adolescents and youth make informed choices with regards to sexual reproductive health, advocacy for implementation of policies like tobacco control act that prohibit the sale of tobacco products to minors and increasing the price of tobacco products through higher taxes.
