The All-Ukrainian charitable organization "Initiative for Life" was established in 2011 as an association of organizations working in the field of medical and social services. The main founder of the organization is NGO "Youth Movement" Penitentiary Initiative. Initiative for Life works with a diverse number of organizations seeking to improve outcomes for at risk youth and vulnerable populations. The NGO Initiative for Life works with teenagers and at risk youth in multiple settings including universities, probation services and courtrooms. Initiative for Life provides health education information to reduce the use of narcotics, to reduce the incidence of sexually transmitted illnesses and to improve overall health outcomes for youth. Initiative for Life also works with at-risk youth in terms of mediation and conflict resolution, training community members to effectively resolve disputes within families to reduce trauma between family members. The overall purpose of organizational activity is to unite the efforts of non-governmental organizations and citizens aimed at charitable activities aimed at social development and improvement of the well-being of at risk youth. The subject of the activity is civic activism in the interests of society or certain categories of persons, for no profit, in accordance with the goals and tasks specified in the charter of the organization and legislation of Ukraine.
