Centre for Community Initiative (CCI), CCI is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profit organisation started as a society in 2001. In 2005, the secretary of the society was blessed with a baby boy who was diagnosed with optic nerve atrophy soon after birth. In the process of finding console, they learnt there was no single entity for Person with Disability (PwDs) in the district of churachandpur, not to even mention the state of Manipur, India. He started meeting parents and discussed the common problems they faced. That is when the society changed course in 2007 to work entirely for the welfare of persons with disability. So far CCI it has been working for inclusive education. At the initial stage of the school, the executive committee voluntarily did a baseline study within a town however after a huge impact of the school and society registered of an organization; the organization research and documentation team did a professional baseline study on disability with focus on churachandpur district in Manipur. This study finding is submitted to the public Information Officer, Government of Manipur. Centre for Community Initiative (CCI) has delivered the programs at Malsawm Ability Resource Centre (MARC) by covering various components: a. The Malsawm Initiative - A School for Children with Special Needs: 32 beneficiaries b. Home Based Care (HBC): 9 beneficiaries (6 boys, 3 girls) c. Early Intervention Unit: 19 children (13 boys, 6 girls) d. Therapeutic service: 48 re
