Measurement in Early Childhood: Building Pathways to Empowerment
Thursday, November 12, 2020
12:00 PM - Expected Duration: 3 hours
Through this event, we aim to raise awareness of the challenges of measurement in the early childhood field and explore strategies for addressing those challenges. The event will highlight ways to support and empower early childhood programs to evaluate the impact of their work. Topics of co-creation and continuous learning and improvement in the field of early childhood measurement will be discussed throughout the event. Attendees will also be introduced to EC PRISM’s resources for supporting communities, including the IMPACT Measures Tool -- an online database of early childhood and parenting measures. Attendees will learn about how this tool can benefit communities engaged in measurement and evaluation.
EC PRISM supports early childhood organizations in the areas of program design, implementation, evaluation, and scaling. Through our work, we have gained insight into how inequity in measurement has historically impacted the field of early childhood. Through this event, we aim to provide insight into these inequities and highlight pathways to equitable measurement practice through co-creation and continuous improvement.
