Digital Talks on COVID-19: Community Resources for Immigrant Families & Social Service Providers
Saturday, May 30, 2020
9:30 AM - Duration: 3 hours
Join Girasol for a free half-day of talks specifically designed for immigrant families and mental health providers. This event will be hosting two concurrent Zoom meetings, with sessions in Spanish for Track 1 and sessions in English for Track 2. All of the eight sessions offered will bring in experts from the Austin community to share information about legal rights, resource rights, and the importance of mental health in the context of COVID-19. These digital talks are free and open to the public.
During this half day of community resource sharing, you can:
- Learn about current immigration updates, resources, and ways to support immigrant families from experts and members of our community.
- Ask questions about the current immigration situation and meet others who care about support for immigrant families.
- Leave with tangible resources and action steps for advocacy.
Immigrant families, mental health providers, and social work students. (Folks can sign up for the event and then join the link during the session time they're interested in.)
3 CEUs will be offered.
