Supporting and Celebrating the Success By 6 Coalition Stakeholders

As the Austin/Travis County Success By 6 Coalition launches the newest iteration of our community-wide strategic plan, we are honored to recognize your work creating a future in which all children in our community enter Kindergarten healthy, happy, and ready to succeed in school and life. Please join us for this professional development workshop with Dr. L. Carol Scott on April 24th at United Way for Greater Austin and for a celebratory happy hour at Sour Duck afterwards.

Space is limited and RSVP is required by April 17.  Please use the "Going?" below to RSVP for this event. RSVP separately for the Happy Hour here.

Dr. L. Carol Scott is an expert in human development focusing on how the first seven years define who we become as adults. She dedicates this expertise to the evolution of your potential through “developmental do-overs.” She brings you the wisdom of your earliest years, gathered over decades of experience in early care and education. She confidently declares that it’s never too late to recreate healthy early development. Using her 7 Childhood Treasures approach, her own developmental do-over supported her recovery from multiple adverse childhood experiences in her early years.

The Success By 6 Coalition

The first five years of a child’s life are a critical period when 90 percent of all brain development occurs. What happens in these early years has lasting impact from kindergarten readiness to high school graduation and beyond. SX6ATX is a coalition of service providers, policy makers, funders, and experts in our community ensuring we invest early - not only for success by six, but for the success of our entire community. Investments in early childhood provide a critical foundation for the long term economic health of our community. For the past six years, the SX6ATX Coalition has lead a community strategic plan that coordinates our efforts. On April 24th, we formally launch the newest iteration of this plan - a bold roadmap that charts our path over the next 2000 days.
