#GivingTuesday nonprofit grants CLOSEDFor Giving Tuesday 2017, the MissionBox Philanthropic Fund offered grant funding for nonprofits and charities, from anywhere in the world, the opportunity to win $1000 grants. Nonprofits applied by sharing their service delivery best practices with other interested MissionBox.com nonprofit readers.
Grants were awarded to the following applicants:
Ready, Willing and Able. The Doe Fund, founded in 1990 is a nonprofit dedicated to integrating formerly incarcerated men back into society with jobs training, counseling and housing. Since its start, The Doe Fund has helped over 23,000 men rebuild their lives post-incarceration.

The True Colors Fund, located in New York works to end homelessness among LGBT youth, providing support and educational services, and advocates for legislative change at the federal, state and local level. Founded by Cyndi Lauper, True Colors Fund wants to "create a world in which young people can be their true selves."

Service Dogs Alabama provides medical and psychiatric assistance dogs to children, adults, and veterans with disabilities, and educational support dogs that help create a positive classroom environment in Alabama schools. SDA works with prison inmates to train the dogs, helping both the inmates and the dogs that come from shelters.
