A divorced mother of three battling breast cancer. One child is already in college and outside of the realm of the DKMCF, however there are still two children in high school. Both high school children play hockey and due to the arrangement with the father, one of the children might have missed out on playing hockey this season for the high school team. But the Foundation stepped in and took care of this fee for the family as well as a couple of other administrative fees and also has assigned a therapist to work with them as needed. Both children are doing well in school and their mother is living with stage 4 breast cancer; both students will continue to be covered by the Foundation for the duration of their high school years and will be able to benefit from other services that are being added to the program as we grow. Some services include a life coach that will be available to meet with them on a weekly basis.
