“The examples of how to use this message guide for campaigns were extremely helpful. It also helped me see that we've been crafting our campaign in the right way!” – Racial Equity in Public Policy Message Guide user
Earlier this year, Voices for Healthy Kids, an initiative of the American Heart Association with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, released its updated edition of the Racial Equity in Public Policy Message Guide. The guide provides messages and tips to help advocates advance the conversation on racial equity, link racial inequity and structural racism to policy, and obtain specific racial equity language in policy.
We are pleased to share the updated resources section of the guide. This section includes a collection of articles, videos, and books focused on the impact of structural racism, tools to reflect on one’s own relationship with racism and efforts to advance racial equity, and more.
