The Vaccine Confidence Coalition (VCC) weekly newsletter contains information and resources to continue addressing COVID-19 vaccine confidence, complacency, and convenience through evidence-based, equity-informed, and innovative strategies.
How you can Help
The number one way you can currently support COVID-19 vaccination efforts in Central Oregon is to spread awareness about pre-registration for the COVID-19 vaccines! Vaccine eligibility just expanded to Phase 1B Group 7, which includes frontline workers as defined by the CDC, adults 16 and older with one or more underlying health conditions, and individuals living in multigenerational households. We're encouraging everyone to pre-register now, even if you aren't eligible yet.
COVID-19 Vaccine Signup Information - Please forward this information within your organizations and networks. Pre-register if you haven't already and encourage your friends and family to sign up too.
So if I’m eligible right now, does that mean I’ll be able to get vaccinated right now? You may not be able to get an appointment immediately, given the currently high demand for vaccinations. However, we highly encourage you to pre-register for your vaccine, which holds your spot in line for scheduling an appointment. You can also try to find an appointment via a local pharmacy.
How do I sign up to receive a vaccine?
The easiest and fastest way to be vaccinated is to pre-register for your vaccine at the mass vaccine clinic at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center at www.centraloregoncovidvaccine.com. Be sure to select the employment category that best matches your current role. When there’s a dose available for you, we’ll text and email you a link to schedule. This email will come from email@example.com, and we recommend adding this email to your contact list.
Some pharmacies are offering the COVID-19 vaccine to eligible residents. Appointment availability changes frequently. Check availability at https://vaccinefinder.org.
If you don’t have access to a computer, pre-register by phone. Call (541) 699-5109. Staff are available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on weekends. Please be prepared to wait on hold or call back as this line is experiencing high call volumes. Individuals who pre-register by phone will receive a call to schedule their vaccine appointment when a vaccine is available for them.
I’m already pre-registered, what now? That’s great! Check your email regularly for your appointment scheduling link. This email will come firstname.lastname@example.org, and we recommend adding this email to your contact list. Be sure to check your junk email folder too, just in case. In the meantime, you can help get the word out about pre-registration. Everyone plays a role in helping keep our community safe from COVID-19.
