Austin Public Health, in partnership with Cribs for Kids, launched a portable crib distribution pilot program that will provide a portable crib for those in need of a safe sleep environment.
Sleep-related death is still the leading cause of unintentional death for children under 12 months. Families may receive portable cribs if they meet certain eligibility requirements. Portable cribs will be distributed through City of Austin Neighborhood Centers, Ascension Seton Medical Center, St. David’s Medical Center, CommUnityCare, People’s Community Clinic and Dell Children’s Medical Center.
